WHAT IS #MASKS4MIGRANTS?

The Masks4Migrants campaign is a collaboration of nonprofits working together to raise $75,000 to donate and distribute 20,000 reusable face masks to migrant women and families. These masks are sustainably and ethically produced by Indigenous women artisans in rural Guatemala, offering critical revenue to the region and stability for families. Many of the families receiving masks hail from the communities they were handcrafted in – renewing a sense of hope across borders.

#Masks4Migrants launched on Friday, March 5^th and the founding members are Justice for Migrant Women (@mujerxsrising), the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (@hispanicheritage), This Is About Humanity (@thisisabouthumanity), and Mercado Global (@mercadoglobal).

HOW YOU CAN HELP

On Friday, March 5, the partner organizations launched the #Masks4Migrants campaign to call on the public to make a donation to secure 20,000 reusable facemasks for migrant women and families along the US-Mexico border. This campaign will be amplified on March 8, International Women’s Day, and will continue for the rest of March which is Women’s History Month.
