Bringing Latinos
into the light

Raised By Latinos, or RBL, is a Latino streetwear brand founded in Toronto, Canada in 2018 by Victor Ramirez and Evelyn Lopez. We make graphic tees, hoodies, sweatshirts and caps that put Latino culture, pride and identity on the garment. Every drop is designed with a Latino artist from our collective, credited by name and paid a royalty on every piece sold. We ship across Canada and the United States. Latino by birth or Latino at heart.

Streetwear was built on culture — but for 30 years, ours was missing from the racks. Raised By Latinos exists to change that.

How we got here

The road

Mid-’90s
A culture takes hold

Toronto soaked in skate and hip-hop. Tommy Hilfiger, FUBU and the streetwear wave defined a generation — but Latino voices stayed on the sidelines.

2018
Raised By Latinos is born

RBL launches to put Latino culture, pride and identity on the garment — lifestyle wear that brings our people into the light. Read the original 2018 manifesto →

Today
Supreme, OVO, Bape — and us

Streetwear is a global market. We’re building the Latino seat at that table: a brand by the culture, for everyone who loves it.

Our Roots

From Toronto, for all Latinos

RBL started in Toronto — a city shaped by waves of Latin American families who arrived from the 1970s on, and built community far from home.

That immigrant grit is in our DNA. But we were never about one city or one flag. From day one the mission reached across the whole diaspora — and today it’s growing across the US.

The founders

It took both

Raised By Latinos was never one person’s idea. It’s two complementary halves — the vision and the engine. Neither gets here without the other.

Victor & his mom, Maritza Pilar Herrera

Victor Ramirez

Co-founder · Creative Director

A world-class creative director with a global, proven track record — 15+ years building brands at the highest level (Mercedes-Benz, Nike, Harley-Davidson, Ritz-Carlton, Amex). The vision, the design, the standard.

Evelyn & her mom, Diosa Intriago

Evelyn Lopez

Co-founder · CEO

RBL’s CEO and a PR genius with a global, proven track record. The strategist who takes the brand to the world — PR, marketing, brand and product. The engine that turns vision into a movement.

Two founders, one standard. This isn’t merch — it’s a brand built by people who’ve done it at the highest level, for a culture that deserves it.

The collective

RBL isn’t one designer with a logo. It’s a rolling collective of Latino creatives — and artists who live and love the cultura — building one drop at a time. Every collaborator is credited by name and paid a royalty on every piece sold.

Creative direction

Ramirez — Co-Founder & Creative Director. Designed RBL’s first collections and sets the creative direction for every drop since.

Collaborations

  • GAHHD — the “We Are Hip-Hop” line, born from the culture that raised us.
  • La Firma Santana — a limited capsule with the Santana camp.
  • Zooted — a streetwear drop with the Zooted crew.
  • A La Brava — with the first Latina superhero team. From artists to writers to designers, an all-Latine team waving the flag. ¡Viva la raza!
  • A Cabra Sports — an RBL × A Cabra Sports collaboration.
  • Art de Kattan — an artist collaboration bringing his work to the drop.
  • ReblX — an RBL × ReblX collaboration.
  • Odatruh — an RBL × Odatruh collaboration.
  • Deena — an artist collaboration.
  • Pulpo Beard Oil — a product collaboration beyond apparel.

Community

Spidershood Social Club — a partnership beyond the garment. Spidershood is an organization that supports people with a troubled past through volunteer programs and community-service projects. Because the culture is nothing without the community behind it.

The collective is open. Latino by birth or Latino at heart — if you down, we down.

Built to last, not to flood the racks

Made like it matters

Limited drops, not fast fashion. Heavyweight fabric, considered fits, and designs carried by real artists — not stock graphics. We’d rather make less and mean it: a seat at the same table as Supreme, OVO and Bape, built by the culture, for everyone who loves it.

Questions

Straight answers

What is Raised By Latinos?

A Latino streetwear brand founded in Toronto in 2018. We make graphic tees, hoodies and caps designed with Latino artists, and we sell them online to Canada and the United States.

Who founded Raised By Latinos?

Victor Ramirez, a creative director, and Evelyn Lopez, who leads the company as CEO. Both are based in Toronto.

What does “Latino by birth or Latino at heart” mean?

The culture is open. If you were raised Latino, or you love the culture, the brand is for you. It comes from our original 2018 manifesto.

Does Raised By Latinos ship to Canada and the United States?

Yes. Raised By Latinos is a Latino streetwear brand based in Toronto, and we ship to every province in Canada and to the United States. Orders go out from Toronto; delivery times and rates are on our shipping policy page.

How does the artist collective work?

Each drop is a collaboration with a Latino artist. The artist is named on the product page and earns a share of every sale, for as long as the piece is sold.

Is Raised By Latinos a Chicano brand?

We’re a Latino brand, and Chicanos and Mexican-Americans are familia. Mexican-Americans are the biggest part of Latino culture in the United States, and Latinos have been in LA and across the country for generations. We’re not here to claim Chicano culture; it has its own history and it belongs to the people who lived it. What we share is the bigger thing underneath: the Latino culture that raised all of us. Our founders say it this way: we don’t have friends, we have familia. If you’re Chicano or Mexican-American and you love the culture, you’re already one of us. Latino by birth or Latino at heart. We down.
