Where Raised By Latinos stands (updated September 2026). Let’s say it straight: Chicano culture is Latino culture, and Mexican-Americans are the largest part of our community. Latinos have been in Los Angeles and across the United States for generations, and a lot of what the world now calls streetwear came out of those neighbourhoods. This page is our respect to that. Raised By Latinos is a Latino streetwear brand from Toronto, not a Chicano brand, and we’re not trying to borrow a culture that isn’t ours to borrow. We stand with our brothers and sisters, because the culture that raised them raised us too. Our founders put it this way: we don’t have friends, we have familia.
